Carbohydrate Metabolism
Disorders of carbohydrate metabolism are ubiquitous. We’ll determine your risk for metabolic disease, obesity, dementia, insulin resistance, diabetes, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, and other disorders by prescribing a continuous glucose monitor (CGM). You can follow your sugar response to triggers such as food, sleep, exercise, stress, and anxiety on your smart phone. We’ll also test your A1c, fasting insulin, and the other key biomarkers shown at right.

Risk Factors
These biomarkers reveal trends that we can address before they put you at risk for disorders of aging, such as heart attack, stroke, dementia, cancer, osteoporosis, and immune system decline. We check the length of your telomeres, the protective caps on the ends of chromosomes that are a hallmark of cellular senescence and biological aging.

Wearables
We encourage clients to use wearable health trackers like CGMs to monitor their sugar, sleep monitors like the Oura Ring, Whoop Band, and Eight Sleep to track sleep quality and heart rate variability (HRV), and other devices that help us interpret their body function. We also test markers of cardiovascular endurance like V0₂max and pulmonary function, grip strength, flexibility, and more with specialized equipment.

High LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood are linked to a decline in cardiovascular (heart and brain) function. But for a clearer picture of your cardiovascular health and to predict trouble early enough to intervene, we explore more telling markers, such as cholesterol risk ratio, a type of LDL cholesterol called Lp(a), and ApoB, which is a more accurate predictor of disease.
