  • Jennifer Braun

    Jennifer Braun
    Physician Associate

    Jennifer works directly with patients to obtain in-depth knowledge across a spectrum of biomarkers and health metrics including family history, lifestyle, genetic, epigenetic, hormonal, and emotional assessments. Partnering with the ComiteMD team for both data collection and analysis, Jennifer then customizes a program designed to achieve optimal health for each patient.

    Jennifer received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology, a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of California in Los Angeles, and a second Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the State University of New York in Stony Brook. Her broad background in the health field includes primary care in community medicine and HIV, as well as clinical research in pain management, oncology, ophthalmology, and diabetes.

  • Neil Chen

    Neil Chen
    Clinical Intern

    Neil graduated from New York University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. While an undergraduate, he completed research in carcinogens that are found in crude oil (an interest sparked by the BP oil spill), which led to an undergrad presentation at the annual NYU student research conference. He also volunteered with Jumpstart, Americorp's early childhood educational program, working to improve the literacy and kindergarten preparedness of young children from lower-social economic families. Following graduation, Neil worked as a clinical research coordinator at Mount Sinai Hospital in the Department of Ophthalmology, conducting Dry Eye Disease research and helping to write a textbook on the cornea.

  • Lauren Klingensmith

    Lauren Klingensmith
    Clinical Intern

    Lauren received her Bachelors of Science from New York University in 2015 in Neural Science. In addition to pursuing premedical studies, Lauren minored in Music, Chemistry and Psychology. At NYU she helped conduct neural science research, studying molecular changes in the hippocampus region of the brain in patients with Anorexia Nervosa. Lauren completed an individual thesis project based on this subject and was awarded first place at the NYU Undergraduate Research Conference. Additionally, she volunteers in both the Infectious Disease and Emergency Departments at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center. Lauren has also conducted clinical research with the NYU Department of Physical Therapy in conjunction with the NYU Langone Diabetes Foot & Ankle Center.

  • Talat Rubin

    Talat Rubin
    Clinical Intern

    Talat graduated from Columbia University in 2015 where she majored in French and Romance Philology and simultaneously completed her premedical studies. While a student at Columbia, Talat worked in a fertility specialist’s office where she helped to author a paper on female genital mutilation. She was also active in the Columbia Iranian Students' Association and Peace by Peace, a volunteer organization that went into public schools and taught conflict resolution to primary school students. Born and raised in New York City, Talat is fluent in both French and Farsi.

  • Dr. Marc Legere

    Dr. Marc Legere
    Chiropractic Specialist

    Dr. Marc Legere is a recognized leader in the field of neuromuscular injury prevention and repair. Dr. Legere serves as a sports injury consultant to athletes in the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, European Premier League soccer and the Olympics as well as to Division I college programs. He has studied alongside physicians from different specialty areas, including among them Dr. Guy Voyer, world renowned teacher of osteopathy (the art and science of manual treatment to reposition bones, muscles and organs for greater freedom and function). Intensive training with Dr.Voyer and others inspired Dr. Legere to develop a unique diagnostic and therapeutic intervention system for his clients. When compared to standard chiropractic treatments, the protocols used by Dr. Legere result in faster improved functioning. Individuals who are professional athletes, part-time athletes, or non-athletes get stronger and stay strong under Dr. Legere’s unique program.

  • Dr. John Docherty

    Dr. John Docherty
    Psychiatrist

    John P. Docherty, MD, is Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College. In addition, he is Visiting Professor of Psychiatry at the USUHS, and Senior Scholar in the School of Population Health at Thomas Jefferson University.

    Dr. Docherty received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and interned at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his psychiatric residency at Yale and his post-residency training as a Public Health Service Officer in the Neuropsychopharmacology Unit of the National Institute of Mental Health.

    As Chief of the Psychosocial Treatments Research Branch at NIMH, Dr. Docherty led the landmark study that established the current methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of psychosocial treatment. He received numerous honors, including the Presidential Award for Research from the National Association of Private Psychiatric Hospitals.

Administrative Team

  • Anita Beri

    Anita Beri
    Client Relations Manager

    Anita Beri is typically the first person with whom a prospective patient speaks. She is adept at explaining the ComiteMD program and supervising overall management of the ComiteMD office and calendar. When a prospective patient undergoes his or her initial Precision Health Analysis, Anita is the frontline contact to ensure a positive, expeditious and successful relationship.

    Anita graduated as valedictorian from Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City where she studied Christian education. She acquired substantial administrative experience in her church which prepared her for her office setting at ComiteMD. Anita is fluent in American Sign Language and volunteers as interpreter for a deaf ministry in church and counseling settings.

  • Barbara Blum

    Barbara Blum
    Financial Coordinator

    Barbara Blum is responsible for finance, accounting, and bookkeeping at ComiteMD. Barbara, whose professional relationship with Dr. Comite dates back many years, helped to develop ComiteMD.

    Barbara studied at Universidad de San Carlos and Universidad Mariano Galvez in her native Guatemala. She worked in Guatemala as a judicial clerk and at Warner-Lambert and DHL. She moved to the United States in 1995 and started working for Dr. Comite soon thereafter.

  • Erin Gress

    Erin Gress
    Patient/Program Coordinator

    Erin graduated from Hofstra University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. Erin previously worked as Marketing Manager for a preventive cardiovascular company. Her dedication to patient relationships, and her strong interest in wellness and comprehensive preventive care, allow her to efficiently manage the interface between patients, scheduling, and medical records.

  • Osher Kedar

    Osher Kedar
    Chief Financial Officer

    Osher Kedar has been responsible for financial oversight at ComiteMD since 2010. He is the founder of, and a principle in, an Israeli accounting firm which specializes in developing businesses. He previously served as an auditor and Internal Control Project Manager at Price Waterhouse Coopers in Israel and as CFO of an industrial company. Osher received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Israel's Ben-Gurion University and earned his Certified Public Accountant license in Israel. He is the author of Guide to the Establishment and Management of New Business published in 2014 by the Israeli Ministry of Economy.

  • Nina Luban

    Nina Luban
    Chief Legal Officer and Chief of Staff

    Nina Luban is responsible for administrative oversight of non-clinical operations and facilities at ComiteMD including legal matters, human resources, and company expansion.

    Nina joined ComiteMD following a career that spanned the practice of law, teaching, and educational administration. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, a Masters Degree in Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.
