Dr. Florence Comite is a leader and innovator in the field of Precision Medicine and captain of your personal journey to optimal health with the Comite Center. She is a graduate of Yale School of Medicine where she was a faculty member for 25 years and founder of Women’s Health at Yale. An endocrinologist with multidisciplinary training in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology, and Andrology at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health, Dr. Comite has extensive experience optimizing health at every stage of an individual’s lifespan.
Dr. Comite contributes original research to numerous clinical journals and editorial publications and is the author of Keep It Up, an Amazon best-seller about Precision Medicine and men’s health.
She is currently developing a startup that scales her precise and personalized approach to optimal health and wellness as via an affordable digital platform, targeted initially at employers for employees, and ultimately as a direct-to-consumer offering.
Todd House, MD
Dr. Todd House is a partnering physician at Comite Center with a passion for tailoring interventions to optimize healthy longevity. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. A decorated Veteran, Dr. House served the military service for 13 years as a flight surgeon in both the US Navy and US Air Force where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Dr. House is a Kentucky transplant, father of five, and is passionate about meditation and mindfulness.
Amanpreet Kaur, MD
Amanpreet works directly with clients to provide precise clinical analysis and tailored health interventions. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from Hunter College.
Sarah Lehman, MA, EP-C
A body in motion stays in motion. As a classically trained dancer, Sarah finds purpose in movement. After graduating from the Ohio State University, she moved to NYC to pursue dance and performed with several independent choreographers before returning to school. Sarah received her Master’s from Columbia University where she studied Applied Physiology of Exercise.
Senior Clinical Intern
Talat graduated from Columbia University in 2015 where she majored in French and Romance Philology and simultaneously completed her premedical studies. While a student at Columbia, Talat was active in the Columbia Iranian Students’ Association and Peace by Peace, a volunteer organization that went into public schools and taught conflict resolution to primary school students. Born and raised in New York City, Talat is fluent in both French and Farsi.
Matthew graduated from Colgate University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in biology before completing his pre-medical studies at Columbia University. His research experiences include work in the University of Pennsylvania’s Pathology Department on an HIV-1 vaccine and most recently on smoking cessation in Manhattan’s Veterans Affairs Hospital. Before resuming his studies, he worked as a dental assistant. Matthew plans on attending medical school in the future.
Christie graduated from New York University in 2013 and began her career as a health editor at Condé Nast prior to enrolling in Columbia’s Post Baccalaureate Premedical Program in January of 2016. During her time at Columbia, she also volunteered in the cardiology lab at its medical center where she helped administer stress tests. Medicine began as a requisite interest in Christie’s life when she was four and diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, but over time it became her passion. In her free time, Christie enjoys reading, yoga and volunteering with organizations that help children with disabilities.
Umbar graduated from Cornell University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Shortly after graduation, Umbar worked as an Intake and Clinical Research Coordinator at the Child HELP Partnership at St. John’s University, which provides free trauma-focused CBT to children who have experienced interpersonal traumas. Umbar hopes to attend medical school in the future.
Chief Administrative Officer
Nina is responsible for administrative oversight of non-clinical operations and facilities at the Comite Center including legal matters and, human resources, and company expansion. Following a career Nina joined the team following a career that spanned the practice of law, teaching, and educational administration, Nina is fascinated, and thoroughly delighted, to be working at the cutting edge of healthcare with a talented, energetic team of men and women. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, a Master’s degree in Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Facilities & Inventory Manager
Daniel is responsible for driving the company’s execution strategy across technology, operations, and product integration. Before joining the Comite team, Daniel held multiple strategic and executive management roles in the education sector. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from NYIT and a Master’s degree in International Economics & Finance from Brandeis University. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys playing with his amazing young son and supporting community theater with his terrific w ife.
Director, Strategic Projects
Cecelia leads special projects that help to develop and scale the Comite brand narrative and experience. She worked previously as a health and nutrition editor with Galvanized Brands, and as a one-man-band video journalist for AOL. She graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and Dramatic Literature. And she is one of the few (lucky) individuals on the planet with a genetic variant that allows her to benefit from the cardioprotective qualities of wine. Santé!
Erin Gress, MHA
Associate Director of Clinical Operations
Erin works closely with our clinical and administrative teams to provide operational support. Her enthusiasm for clinical development and patient experience support her role in facilitating and maintaining collaborative systems and efficient delivery of care.
Erin studied Psychology and Business at Hofstra University and obtained her Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. Her previous position, working as Marketing Manager for a preventive cardiovascular company, fostered her passion for personalized and proactive health care.
Anita Beri Emly
Client Relations Manager
Anita has worked with Dr. Comite since 2010. Her knowledge of the program and operations allows her to coordinate with prospective patients and facilitate their introduction to our Center. Anita is fluent in American Sign Language and volunteers as an interpreter in her church’s Deaf ministry.
Janine’s dedication to patient relationships and her strong interest in precision medicine allow her to efficiently manage the interface between clients and clinicians, scheduling, and medical records. Prior to joining the Comite team, Janine worked in surgical oncology as a Session Assistant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
Barbara is responsible for finance, accounting, and bookkeeping at the Comite Center. She studied at Universidad de San Carlos and Universidad Mariano Galvez in her native Guatemala, where she worked in Guatemala as a judicial clerk and at Warner-Lambert and DHL. She moved to the United States in 1995 and started working for Dr. Comite soon thereafter.
Director, Practice Development
Andi joined the Comite Team in October of 2017 bringing with her more than fifteen years of experience in the industry. She began her career in the NewYork-Presbyterian health care system and she later migrated to multi-specialty outpatient care in what is now known as the Mount Sinai Health System. Andi holds a passion for putting patients first and ensuring customer service is met at every level. Outside of work she can be found whipping things up in the kitchen, volunteering at her favorite animal shelter, or trying a new fitness class with friends.
Clinical Research Coordinator
Mary joined the Comite team in early 2018, lending her experience in practice-based research in immunology, health behaviors, and program evaluation to galvanize research efforts at Comite Center. Mary graduated from Emory University with a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology, after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Her love of health sciences has taken her to Oxford, Botswana, and Atlanta, where she worked with The Centers for Disease Control and the foster care system. Prior to joining the Comite team, Mary spent a year working at Columbia University Medical Center. When she’s not digging through data, Mary enjoys her family, friends, food, books, and her weird but wonderful dogs.
Coordinator, Precision Health Lifestyle
Suzanne brings more than 15 years of experience in fitness and nutritional counseling to the Comite team. She excels in helping her clients create healthy lifestyle habits. She believes in a holistic and personalized approach to clean eating (everyone needs a cheat day!), exercise, and meditation. Suzanne has a business degree from the University of Kentucky and is a mother of five. When she isn’t working with clients, you can find her exercising, dreaming up inspiring interiors, or walking her two dogs.
